The North Texas Angel Network (NTAN), an accredited angel investor membership organization, announced six of its members have invested a total of $95,000 in Compression Works, a company dedicated to manufacturing hemorrhage control medical devices for military and first responder markets around the world.
The due diligence was led by Yuriy Vasylenko, an NTAN member, who notes: “We are excited to partner with Compression Works and support them in the pursuit to save lives by stopping traumatic hemorrhages. They have an innovative product and a strong management team, which positions them well to address a large and currently unmet need in both military and emergency medicine segments.”
What makes the investment even more rewarding is how Compression Works is partnering with Mission to the World, a humanitarian aid organization collecting and delivering medical supplies to the war-torn region of Ukraine. Compression Works is hearing life-saving stories from Ukrainian soldiers on the frontlines.
Scott Dodson, CEO of Compression Works, shares, “NTAN has been terrific to work with in terms of capital contribution and also in networking introductions and opportunities that can drive awareness for our life-saving technology.”
Jeff Murphy, NTAN’s executive director, adds, “We are off to an exciting start this year with new NTAN investments and members both inside and outside the North Texas area. This growth speaks to the strength of our board leadership and NTAN members spreading the word about our organization.”
Over its 15-year history, NTAN members have invested more than $10 million into startup organizations, primarily in North Texas. Notable investments from NTAN members include Gardenuity, Ikonopedia, Natural Dental Implants, Tella Firma, and Vital Arts & Science.
