Yuriy is a business leader with expertise in strategic planning, organizational culture, operations, and finance. He enjoys building businesses and investing in innovative companies that have a clear value proposition and aim to disrupt their industries. Yuriy is originally from Ukraine. He moved to the United States in early 2000s as he was completing high school. Later, Yuriy attended the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota where he met his future business partner with whom they built Elite Medical Scribes – a healthcare training and staffing company. By late 2017, Elite Medical Scribes reached over 1100 employees in 30+ states and across 40+ medical specialties, all while demonstrating strong financial performance, establishing a highly reputable brand, and becoming a vendor of choice for numerous world-renowned health systems. A number of awards and recognitions came along the way including Inc. 5000 list in 2016 and 2017, Twin Cities Business magazine Top 10 Small Business award, and Minnesota Business magazine Young Entrepreneurs award. The company was acquired by a large strategic buyer. Currently, Yuriy focuses on investments mostly in healthcare, education, and technology with high emphasis on ESG. Yuriy also serves on the board of the American Red Cross North Texas Region. Yuriy lives in the Dallas area with his wife and their two kids. He enjoys traveling with his family, attending F1 grand prix, and playing tennis with his daughters.
